The knowledge already exists — in keeper dairies, handover notes, vet records, and in people's hands. What is missing is the extraction. We do that part.

First-hand, or not at all
Every case comes from the person who ran it, named and signed off. Nothing anonymous or second-hand.

Interests are declared
If a contributor stands to gain from a practice being adopted, the case says so. That includes us.

Not peer-reviewed
A case is what one person did in one place. Read it as you'd listen to a trusted colleague, not as a standard.

Under 1 hour, in English, on site or by phone. What you tried and how you knew.

Draft
5 parts, around your photographs. No conclusion you didn't draw.

Approval
You sign it off in writing. Corrections are unlimited.

Into the Index under your name. Your membership starts.

Who Makes Chureeda
—— FOUNDER PROFILE
A Choisys project, run its own rules
Chureeda is published by Choisys, a Korean company that works with zoos and aquaria based in the country.
We kept meeting keepers who'd solved something and had nowhere to put it. Choisys runs and funds Chureeda, and edits every case by published rules.

How the Record Works

ATTRIBUTION
Name, position, institution, and country on every case. Names appears with the contributor's consent.
DATING
First published and last revised, both shown.
WITHDRAWAL
A contributor can withdraw a case at any time, no reason needed.
ADMISSIBILITY
First-hand cases, any result, including unresolved ones.
EVIDENCE TIER
Instrumented, observed or reported. It describes the record, not the person.
CORRECTIONS
Anyone can flag an error. Accepted fixes are noted on the case, never made silently.
SOURCING
Offered, invited, or found at conferences and site visits.
INDEPENDENCE
Choisys runs and funds Chureeda, and edits by published rules. The rules ➔
